Cedar Point Opening Weekend 2011 Questions?

My stepdad and I are considering going to cedar point on May, 16, 2011. I hear Sundays aren't busy, but does it being opening weekend change anything? I went last year on a Sunday in June; will it be better or worse (crowd wise). How long should I expect to wait for rides like the Maverick
