Was Iraq justified for invading Kuwait?

On this day in 1990 at 2 o'clock in the morning local time Iraq, then the Worlds 4th strongest military, invaded Kuwait. The claim was that Iraq was losing billions of dollars as a result of Kuwait illegally tapping oil from Iraq. Perhaps Iraq had a valid reason. Just a thought.
