Why would you honor a killer?

Benoit killed his wife and son. People want to remember his legacy? Sounds like he silenced any chance for a family legacy. It was a cowardly act. It might have been mental illness, but why honor the man. Then again you might be someone who think OJ didn't do it, and think he a great guy.
