Why did he react this way *sigh*?

He could have done it because he changed. Or, he wanted you to get over him so he deleted it. Nevertheless, what he did shows that he doesn't want contact right now. Just see how it goes, and if it satisfies you you can ask him why he did it (not sure will it be a good move, or bad) Just remember if you do that, don't be clingy or too mad. Good luck
